Elizabeth Perez-Lavin

Originally from Chile, Elizabeth (Liz) Perez-Lavin and her family migrated to the United States when she was a child. Liz went through many challenges during this transition, including learning a new language and a new culture. This experience did not stop her from accomplishing the goals she set for herself; it shaped her into the leader and mentor she is today. Liz grew up in the construction industry; working closely with her father, Jaime, in the painting field and learning the trade from him.

 

While completing her Bachelor's Degree in Accounting at Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU), Liz worked full-time in her first career role as a Controller at Service Painting of Florida. She is highly dedicated and cares deeply for her family, company, employees, and community. Her drive and strength are derived from her life experiences, strong beliefs in leadership, growth, and the need to learn and improve continuously. Liz works hard to instill these beliefs with her business associates and work team. Her initiative and ambition allowed her to go from a painter in the field, to a young clerk at a painting company, to the President and majority owner of that same company, employing over 250 team members.

Liz now provides strategic leadership, performance management, and is responsible for the fiscal function of the corporation. Wanting to learn more and increase her knowledge in business and leadership, Liz decided to earn her Executive MBA from the University of Florida in 2022. Liz stays actively involved in the community and dedicates her time as a chair member for several industry-related organizations. She serves on her alma mater's (FGCU) Athletics board and the FGCU Construction Industry Advisory Board.
